I’m Katrina Shepherd, a family portrait photographer based in Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire. I photograph families and individuals across Lancashire, creating relaxed, natural images that capture genuine connections and moments you’ll want to remember.
My photography sessions are often outdoors on location, making use of Lancashire’s beautiful countryside and natural surroundings. I can also photograph you in the comfort of your own home or against simple plain backdrops, depending on the style of images you’re looking for.
I specialise in family portrait photography, but I also enjoy branching out into other areas of photography. Every session is tailored to the people I’m photographing, with the aim of creating images that feel natural, personal and authentic.

My passion for photography began when I picked up an old film camera at the age of thirteen. I loved the idea of capturing a moment and turning it into something tangible that could be kept forever.
I went on to study photography at university before working in London as an assistant photographer. After gaining valuable professional experience, I eventually established my own photography business in Lancashire.
Since moving to Lancashire, the beautiful local scenery has become a constant source of inspiration and plays an important role in my location photography.
