Hi, I’m Khandie Rees, a photographer, author, podcast host, creative educator and the person behind Khandie Photography. Based in Northampton, Northamptonshire, I create bold, personality-driven photography for people and businesses who want something more distinctive than traditional, posed images.
I specialise in portrait photography, branding photography, fashion photography, commercial photography, musician promo shoots, music photography, event photography, creative editorial photography and wedding photography, working with clients throughout Northamptonshire, the East Midlands and across the UK.
My photography studio in Northampton is designed for creating images with personality and character. Whether I'm photographing creatives, performers, musicians, models, business owners, families or fellow photography professionals, my approach is simple: create photographs that actually feel like you.
I aim to make every shoot relaxed, enjoyable and completely individual. Expect plenty of conversation, music, sarcasm and probably snacks along the way!
Photography began as a passion rather than a planned career. After serving in the RAF and working in the entertainment industry, including performing internationally, I eventually turned my fascination with photography and vintage cameras into a full-time photography business.
Today, my work has appeared in fashion and industry publications and I regularly work with businesses, artists, performers, models and brands looking for photography that feels authentic, creative and different.
Alongside photography, I am also an author, educator and host of The Loud Lens photography podcast. I have written two bestselling photography books and provide mentoring for photographers and creatives who want to develop their skills, confidence, businesses and creative identity.
My photography studio is based in Northampton, Northamptonshire, welcoming clients from across the East Midlands and throughout the UK. I also regularly travel for location photography, commercial assignments, fashion events, live music and creative projects.
