The poses were dictated by the theme. A goddess has to look a certain way after all! Although Jennie was nude, the jewellery provided cover over the groin allowing stronger 'Lara Croft' style stances than a totally naked body would allow. Smoke was added at intervals. It's important not to overdo it as you end up with a fog almost impossible to see through. Letting it go in short bursts gives more control which is why indoors I favour the machine over smoke bombs or similar. We will explore the classical patterns of lighting in more detail in later articles, for now enjoy some more of these images and if you use them as inspirations for your shoots feel free to send me some links.
