So what's the big secret? You don't have to be a detective to work out the first. Shoot club and the 'BIG shoot experience' have proven so popular that, instead of having quarterly events, we will be doing one every month, lots more opportunities to share the passion.

The real big news is the academies! September will see the announcement and opening of the first wave of the brand new Olympus Training Academies. SIX Olympus bases from the south coast as far up as Newcastle that will hold training courses, touch-and-try events and 'wow' days designed and overseen by me and delivered by hub principals trained by me. Now you won't get rid of me that easily because as well as being in my own hub in Chester, I'll be making regular appearances around the country.

The great thing once more is these venues, although Olympus sponsored, are camera agnostic - just come to enjoy photography! Many events at the Academies will be FREE and if not free, subsidised by Olympus. The Academies will be places to meet, chat, learn and share our passion for this fine craft. Of course each hub will also have lots and lots of Olympus kit on the premises for people to come and see, try, and shoot with, there for your use should those attending wish to try. I personally believe Olympus should be heartily congratulated for such progressive, considered and frankly revolutionary thinking - my hat is off to them!
