Hi, I'm Damian 👋, a photographer based in Widnes, Cheshire, England, available for photography services across the surrounding areas.

With more than 35 years in the photography industry, Damian McGillicuddy has done and photographed just about everything, from opening his first general practice studio in Widnes to becoming an internationally recognised celebrity and fashion photographer.
Damian's passion for photography began at an early age. As a youngster, he watched Olympus television commercials featuring legendary photographer David Bailey and proudly told his mother, “One day that'll be me.” In 2013, that ambition became reality when Damian was appointed as Olympus UK's Principal Photographer and Educator.
Another of Damian's childhood heroes was renowned “Calendar King” Mel Grundy, whose work included calendars for brands such as Smirnoff and Mintex and helped launch the careers of Kelly Brook and Jordan. At just 13 years old, Damian nervously knocked on the door of Mel's famous Oakbase Studio in Chester. Years later, Damian would take over the studio before eventually moving to his current studio in Widnes.
Damian has worked with some of the world's biggest companies and brands, including John Lewis and L'Oréal. His work is collected by celebrities, musicians, and entrepreneurs, and he has photographed everyone from rock stars and actors to politicians and prime ministers.
His images have appeared in exhibitions and can be found in the collections of Dragon's Den entrepreneurs and even at Downing Street. After more than three decades photographing some of the world's most recognisable faces, Damian is now bringing that same “superstar shoot” experience to the general public.
This is your opportunity to be photographed by a Vogue-published photographer and receive the same high-quality imagery and professional standards enjoyed by Damian's celebrity clients, models, magazines, and media.
Widely known in the photographic press as the “Lighting Wizard”, Damian is also recognised within the industry for his expertise in lighting and his work training and educating some of the world's leading photographers.
