The Shower Shot
Just to prove you can make a photography studio anywhere! This image was shot in a single shower cubicle in the model's home. I'm sure every glamour photographer would love a custom-built shower set where you can place lights wherever you want and have a lovely plain backdrop, but sometimes we just have to work with what we've got. This shot used a small soft-box that was placed high, beside me and pointing down towards the model. It was aimed through the glass of the cubicle and I was shooting through the open door.
One thing to watch out for when shooting water using normal studio lights (as opposed to the fast syncing versions) is that water droplets can appear to be moving upwards due to the slow shutter speed. The solution? Get your model wet and then keep the actual shower water as much out of the frame as possible!
